Kilometre Gives Back Kilometres
Every year, Kilometre sponsors two young fellows of Zellidja Foundation with the support of Mon Plus Beau Voyage. Through its embroidery, Kilometre builds colourful bridges between different parts of the world. With the help of Zellidja Foundation, Kilometre and its partner Mon Plus Beau Voyage pick two aspiring adventurers to set off on their dream journey. The competition selection is based on the presented travel project and the decision is made by an expert jury committee.
Kilometre takes pride in being associated with the work of the Foundation Zellidja which gives hundreds of 16 to 20 year-olds the opportunity to travel alone – for a minimum of one month – on a project in a country that they are fascinated by.
For these young adventurers, this trip becomes a journey of self-discovery and enrichment. While expediting new territories, they uncover the magic of travel, find their courage, and build their confidence. Kilometre follows and documents their journeys on the website!
The Zellidja travel award was created in 1939 by Jean Walter, a famous architect, and is now managed by the Zellidja Foundation, under the aegis of the Fondation de France.
Mon Plus Beau Voyage offers highly customized trips for two or more with respect for the environment and the protection of locals. The agency shares a percentage of its profits with Zellidja in order to give back with Kilometre.
